A Wife In the Making

God's handi in my story

The wedding was beautiful. The honeymoon was blissful. But then came the first year of marriage, and suddenly I found myself in uncharted territory. The fairy tale I had imagined was replaced by the reality of two imperfect people trying to become one, and it was harder than I ever expected.

Maybe you know this feeling. The confusion when your husband doesn’t respond the way you thought he would. The frustration comes when the same arguments keep happening. The loneliness that can exist even when you’re sharing a bed with someone every night. The questions that whisper in the quiet moments: Is this what marriage is supposed to feel like?

I remember the moment when it all felt too overwhelming. The weight of unmet expectations, the cycle of conflicts that seemed to have no resolution, and the feeling that maybe I had made a mistake. It was so tough that I chose to take a break, to step away and rethink what this marriage thing was really about.

Have you ever been there? That place where you love your husband but feel lost in your role as his wife? Where you want to honor God in your marriage but don’t know how to navigate the daily challenges that feel anything but holy?

But here’s what I discovered: God’s hand was in that breaking point. He allowed me to reach the end of my own understanding so I could finally turn to His. It was in that season of questioning—when I felt most lost—that God met me with the most beautiful revelation. He whispered to my heart, “You are a wife in the making. I am the potter.”

In that moment, I realized this wasn’t a coincidence or a crisis—this was God’s divine intervention, His loving hand guiding me toward the wife He created me to be.

“But now, Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.” – Isaiah 64:8

In my search for godly wisdom, understanding, and knowledge, God’s hand began to move in the most beautiful way. The Holy Spirit didn’t just give me information—He became my personal teacher, guiding me into revelation that would transform my marriage forever.

In the quietness of my seeking heart, He asked me a simple question:

How many rooms do you have in your house?
I thought about it. “Several,” I answered, sensing His gentle presence.
And how many towels do you have?
Many,” I replied, wondering where His loving wisdom was leading me.
Do you use one towel to wipe everywhere?
Do you use the same towel for the kitchen counter that you use for the bathroom mirror?
Of course not!” I responded immediately, beginning to see His divine purpose in this question.
Then why,” the Holy Spirit gently asked, His voice full of compassion and wisdom,
“are
you using one way to solve all the conflicts and challenges in your marriage?”

This was God’s hand orchestrating a moment of divine revelation. He wasn’t just giving me advice—He was reshaping my entire understanding of what it means to be a wife.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” – Proverbs 3:5-6

That moment changed everything. I realized I had been trying to navigate every situation in my marriage with the same approach, the same responses, the same solutions. But just as different rooms in my house required different tools and different care, different challenges in my marriage required different wisdom, different strategies, and different expressions of love.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” – James 1:5

This wasn’t about having more rules or trying harder—it was about having the right wisdom for the right moment. It was about understanding that being a godly wife isn’t a one-size-fits-all formula, but a beautiful tapestry of responses, each one carefully chosen and Holy Spirit-led.

From that moment, I made a choice. I chose to invest in godly knowledge about marriage. Not just any knowledge, but the kind of wisdom that comes from God’s heart for marriage.

God’s hand continued to move as I pursued this wisdom. He opened doors to understanding I never knew existed. He connected me with resources, mentors, and revelations that transformed not just my marriage, but my heart as a wife. I discovered that being a prudent wife meant being equipped with different tools for different seasons, different words for different moments, and different expressions of love for different needs.

Every step of this journey bore the fingerprints of God’s divine orchestration. Just as I wouldn’t use a kitchen towel to clean a mirror, God was teaching me I couldn’t use the same approach for every challenge in my marriage. He was equipping me with His wisdom, His timing, and His love for every situation I would face.

My journey as a “wife in the making” ignited a passion to help other wives discover this same transformative wisdom. I realized that so many of us are trying to navigate marriage with limited tools, wondering why the same approaches keep yielding the same frustrating results.

The Prudent Wife Program exists because I believe every wife deserves to have a full toolkit—spiritual, emotional, and practical wisdom for every season and challenge of marriage. This isn’t about becoming perfect; it’s about becoming equipped. It’s about understanding that God has specific wisdom for your specific marriage, your specific husband, and your specific challenges.

My dear, if you’re reading this and your heart is stirring, that’s God calling you deeper into your purpose as a wife. Maybe you’re tired of the same conflicts with no resolution. Maybe you’re longing for the marriage you dreamed of, but don’t know how to get there. Maybe you’re ready to discover that there’s more than one way to love your husband well.

You don’t have to keep using the same towel for every room in your marriage. You don’t have to keep wondering why the same approaches aren’t working. You can be equipped with godly wisdom that transforms not just your marriage, but your heart as a wife.

The Prudent Wife Program is more than just marriage advice—it’s a journey of discovery, a community of like-minded wives, and a pathway to the wisdom that will transform your marriage from the inside out.
